What inane stupid people call Thanksgiving in a failed attempt to sound cute.
Idiot #1 - I can't wait to get me some jibblets on Turkey Day!

A short and simple name for a holiday which celebrated thanks. This term is taking over the traditional, noble name of Thanksgiving Day. In turn, the commercialization of the holiday is getting so bad that people will forget what the meaning of the day really is, similar to how Christmas' image is being ruined by Future Shop's and Best Buy's take on the holidays.
Guy 1: Happy Turkey Day!

Guy 2: What the hell does that mean?! Do you mean Thanksgiving Day?

Guy 1: What's Thanksgiving? Are you talking about the day you eat turkey meat?

Guy 2: Never mind...

A really lame way of saying Thanksgiving. See, in Canada, we celebrate it in October, but in the States, people celebrate in Late November.

"Turkey Day" is a synonym for Thanksgiving, as I said before. It is mainly used by lameasses and weather-reporters who have nothing better to do than act stupid.
"Heeeeeeeeyyyyyyyy, New York! Hope you're enjoying you're Turkey Day! I know I am!"

"Shut the hell up, you stupid arse.

A celebration of the one good moment Americans had with Indians. Now, a commercial excuse for obese people to stuff food inside of other food.
Thanksgiving is like telling a date rape victim to just focus on the dinner and movie earlier that evening.

Thanksgiving is America's very successful attempt at white washing American history (what's new).
Native American's have NOTHING to be thankful for on this lovely day in November, I mean, unless you want to count the small pox infested blankets that almost wiped them out.

On the last day of November American families have the pleasure of gathering around their tables across the country to give thanks. This is a noble act and tradition and should be upheld in spite of the terrible history behind it. In an effort to be sensitive to that history and the beautiful act of practicing gratitude the term "Thanksgiving" has been replaced by some people with "Turkey Day" being as turkeys are a staple in the historically inaccurate fable as well as American tables on this very day.
Decent Human Being 1: Happy Turkey Day!!!
Decent Human Being 2: Thanks! You Too!

Decent Human Being: Ooooh! I cannot wait for Turkey Day
Possibly Willfully Ignorant Human Being: What? Thanksgiving? Why do you call it that?
Decent Human Being: Oh, I recognize the day and appreciate being able to spend time with the family but... because of the history of the day, I guess I refuse to celebrate genocide.
